Important Announcement
I am pleased to announce that Millbry Hill, the retail division of Armstrong Richardson & Co Ltd, will be taking over Green’s Farm Supplies Ltd from Thursday 1st June 2023.
As most of you know, Kate and I have run the business since 2004. Now Kate is no longer with us, I feel it is the right move for the business, the staff, and the customers.
Armstrong Richardson is owned by the Jones family who are Yorkshire born and bred and have nearly 100 years of trading history in this area. They have a similar ethos to ourselves with a commitment to providing a wide range of products which are competitively priced and offering the best in customer service. Serena Harriman (nee Jones) will be the person working closely with me to ensure a smooth transition from one business to another.
I appreciate some people will be nervous about this change, but I really do not wish to carry on without Kate and I know that Serena and the team here at Thirsk will continue to grow the business and look after our many loyal customers. The current team are all staying on and the telephone number and postal address is the same so hopefully you will only notice positive changes.
I want to thank you all for the support you have given me and Kate over the past 19 years and I hope you will continue to enjoy the benefits of trading with a local Yorkshire family-owned business here at Thirsk Farmers Auction Mart.
Thank you
Chris Jeffery
